José was born and lives in the city of Quilpué, Chile. He graduated with a degree in graphic design in 2009 and dedicated his first professional years to branding, editorial design and desktop publishing in areas such as advertising, education, culture and entertainment. In 2015, he began exploring the world of illustration and its application to graphic design. His style was influenced by the aesthetics and nostalgia of Japanese animation (or “anime”) from the 80s and 90s. His works cover various themes around pop culture, and science fiction through the strength and appeal of female characters.

He's currently working freelance and he has contributed on several domestic and international projects.
