Hi! My name is José and I'm a Chilean graphic designer & illustrator.
I dedicated my first professional years to branding, editorial design and desktop publishing in areas such as advertising, education, culture and entertainment. In 2015 I began exploring the world of illustration and its application to graphic design. I developed my style while been influenced by the aesthetics and nostalgia of Japanese animation and video games from the 80s and 90s. My works cover various themes around pop culture, fantasy and science fiction, mostly through the strength and appealling of female characters.
I am currently working as a freelance and I have contributed to several domestic and international projects.
I'm currently using a Gaomon PD1560 Pen Display tablet along with Clip Studio Paint Pro for digital artwork production and Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator for post-production. For traditional sketching I always use B, HB and H grade mechanical and wooden pencils together with ink multi-liners and brush pens on high-density drawing paper.
